Hawkcraig Pier, in Aberdour, Fife, Scotland, was built in the 1850's to service the ferry that ran across the Forth to Leith, which carried Victorian pleasure seekers from Edinburgh to the marvellous beaches at Aberdour. The ferry went out of business following the opening of the Forth Bridge in 1890, and the pier quickly fell into disrepair.
