Capture beautiful moments of humans, plants and animals connected together for your chance to win some amazing prizes.
Today, May 22, 2014, is the International Day for Biological Diversity. To celebrate, we’ve teamed up the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) for our new mission: Connected with Nature
Simply capture beautiful moments of humans, plants and animals together for your chance to win some amazing prizes.

Life on our planet is under threat – mainly from us humans. The rapid loss of species is not just a disaster for the environment; it’s a disaster for us, because we rely on the planet’s rich variety of life for our own lives. This rich mix of life is called “biodiversity” – and we can all help to preserve it through small changes in our daily activities.
Your mission: Show us how beautiful wild animals and plants are and how we humans are connected to them. Show how humans can live in harmony with nature (plants and animals) or how people can make positive contributions to preserving biodiversity.
Your reward: The five best photos will receive a beautiful photo book of animal photos and a free day pass for a family of 4 at a WAZA zoo or aquarium. Winners can choose the zoo or aquarium as long as it is part of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
An additional five highly commended photos will receive equivalent books but no day passes. These ten photos and 20 runners up will also be featured on the EyeEm blog and on the Biodiversity is Us Facebook page, as well as in future campaigns from WAZA.
Deadline: June 8 (World Ocean Day!)
How to take part: Simply take a photo and tag it with Connected with Nature. Your photo will be automatically added to the album.
