Coin Divers in Cagayan de Oro sea port.

You can often observe this kind of unique attraction. Young men and sometimes young women dive for coins. This happens before the passenger ferry leaves the port. A number of young people jump from their bangka (boat) down to the water to collect the coins that the passengers scatter around.

Divers compete each other to get the coins and keep them. Actually it is not easy to do. For tourists, it is a sort of entertainment but for coin divers that is how they earn a living.
