International Women's Day Teams Up with EyeEm as Exclusive Image Partner for 2019

We are partnering with International Women's Day to bring you a new EyeEm photograph collection and photo Mission to celebrate stories of women around the world in 2019.
Last year we introduced #NotYourCliche - a movement to shake up visual representation for real - and through it we’ve showcased images of strength, masculinity, real families, authentic beauty, women and more.
Today we’re super excited and honored to continue that movement with International Women’s Day as the exclusive image partner for 2019. Together we will be celebrating women through a series of photography related initiatives.

The International Women’s Day Image Collection
We’ve partnered on an International Women’s Day image collection available for licensing, and 20% of the licensing revenue will be donated to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), which is an International Women’s Day charity of choice.
The way women and girls are represented through any form of media has never been more crucial. This collection of images features females exactly as they are: strong, powerful, diverse and unique.
“Celebrating diverse imagery of women challenges stereotypes, broadens perceptions and reflects the vibrant and varied communities in which we live and work worldwide,” said Glenda Slingsby, Partnerships Director for International Women’s Day. “Photographers and industry can certainly play a critical role in helping forge a more gender-balanced world.”
The International Women’s Day 2019 #BalanceforBetter campaign theme images were shot by EyeEm photographers and can be seen as part of this extensive collection. A big thank you to Avel Shah, Neo Baepi and Jorge Oviedo for their work on the campaign images.
International Women’s Day Photo Competition
Beginning March 1, we will be launching the first-ever International Women’s Day global photo competition on the EyeEm platform to celebrate women the entire month of March. The competition is open to photographers of any gender - you just need to have an EyeEm account! Download the EyeEm app for free on iOS or Android to participate. We’ll be back for more updates on this one as we get closer.
International Women’s Day Celebration
On March 8, We’ll also host an International Women’s Day event in our home city of Berlin to benefit women in technology, business and creativity. We’re currently looking for partners interested in collaborating on the event - reach out if you’re interested!
