How to Frame a Great Shot: Porter Yates’ New Skillshare Class

Having known about online creative learning platform Skillshare for a long time, we’re super excited to announce our new class with them! And best of all, 2015 EyeEm Photographer of the Year, Porter Yates, is teaching. We couldn’t be happier to have such a talented, knowledgeable photographer for you to learn from. Porter’s unique style of travel photography captures the essence of a place and culture, often pulling you back in time.

This free one hour class is about capturing images that evoke intrigue, and going beyond the expected ‘descriptive’ photography to let your audience interpret their own story. Porter will discuss topics ranging from “Exploring the Unexpected” (Lesson 4) to “Finding Cleanliness in Chaos” (Lesson 7). It’s a creative exploration that will help you develop your eye for compelling imagery and hone the way you shoot.
