Our friends from the British Journal of Photography, theworld’s longest-running magazine founded in 1854, have just released FLTR – the first weekly smartphone photography magazine published exclusively on the iPhone. The best thing about it: YOU can become a part of it.

What is FLTR?

FLTR is a new magazine aimed to give an authoritative voice within the booming worldwide community of smartphone image creators. Its first edition, released today, featuresan article by Fred Ritchin, professor of photography at New York University, an interview with VuThéara Kham and a story about yours truly, EyeEm.

Olivier Laurent, editor of FLTR, says:

“The iPhone has transformed and democratised photography – turning all of us into potential photographers. FLTR is designed specifically to offer a new breed of photographers a weekly dose of authoritative content and advice to help them take their photography to the next level, while also chronicling the massive changes we’re also experiencing, thanks to the ubiquitous nature of the smartphone.”

How you can get published in FLTR

The best part of all this: YOU can be a part of the magazine. FLTR is designed to be a participatory project, meaning that you get the chance to have your images published in a future issue. Olivier and his team will be checking the album fltrlive on a daily basis to discover new talents and amazing photographs taken with mobile devices.

All you need to do is to submit your images to the album fltrlive. Of course you’ll be contacted by FLTR before they publish your photo and you’ll always get credited. Also make sure to follow @FLTR on EyeEm to stay in the loop with the latest updates.

We can’t wait to see your images published in a future issue of FLTR.
