A Recap from the EyeEm Los Angeles Meetup

Last weekend, our friend Joel Quizon and Jen Pollack Bianco, got together with 13 other inspiring photographers and ventured out on a photowalk through Los Angeles.

Hi friends,

last weekend, our friendsJoel Quizon and Jen Pollack Bianco, got together with 13 other inspiring photographers and ventured out on a photowalk through Los Angeles. Here’s a recap by Jen of the EyeEm Los Angeles Meetupfor those who weren’t able to make it:

We started at California Plaza and headed to the top of Angels Flight Railway, passing a few film crews along the way. We took the funicular down, and walked through Grand Central Market. Then we hit The historic Bradbury Building, where we posed for a class picture thanks to mounts, timers, and a friendly bystander.

Next we hit the patio at La Cita Bar so we could have cocktail and get to know each other en route. It was a game and friendly group.

We then headed to the newly opened Grand Park where we met a very well behaved cat on a leash, saw kids playing in fountains, and were horrified by the digusting pink benches. The light was fantastic as we crossed the street to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and then followed Carrie Worthen’s suggested route behind the Frank Gehry designed Walt Disney Concert Hall. We had some incredible pools of light there and got Suzan Mikael (and then me) to pose in one of them. We officially wrapped up in front of the Concert Hall, before those still game headed to The Perch.
