Back in 2012 6 Iranian men escaping from Iran, sought asylum in the UK. Facing deportation and probable death in Iran, they sewed their lips shut and started a hunger strike at two locations in London. This was one of the most frustrating stories I have covered mainly due to a wall of official silence, which could have resulted in starvation. It had a happy ending but for over a month and a half the six went hungry. Directly opposite Amnesty Internationals offices in Rose berry avenue and a stones throw away from the Guardian newspapers main office. These are the photos from this story, which sadly is now being repeated all over the world. Draw your own conclusions but refugees do need support or?
