Ebb Tide is part of the Rosa genus and is a Rosevariety. Its scientific name is Rosa 'Ebb Tide'. Ebb Tide is a patented hybrid variety. This variety has a clove fragrance and typically grows to 10.0 cm (3.9 inches imperial) in diameter, blooming in the following colours:  Palatinate purple and   Bright Purple and   Vivid Purple. The mature flowers take a Double form, with an approximate petal count of 35. The leaves of this particular variety normally show as   Sap green and  La Salle Green colour. Tight double-petals of smokey plum purple bear a strong, stimulating, spicy clove scent1 throughout the growing season.
