These are the ruins of the medieval Siri Fort in South Delhi, with a section of wall being visible and the stones that make up the wall, although this section of the wall surviving the centuries is pretty short. The fort was built by Alaudin Khilji to defend the core of his kingdom, primarily against the Mongols who were attacking the area. The fort helped in protection. In addition, the location of Siri where the supposed incident happened where the defeated Mongol army was brought and killed by trampling. These ruins are near Panchsheel Park and are set among greenery, the wall being many centuries old and yet standing firm in sections such as this.
