The Mobile Photo Awards are the world’s biggest competition for mobile photography and art. With the winner’s being announced last week, we had a look at all the entries and chose some of our favorites.

Over a period of 6 months photos were submitted to 23 categories and then carefully chosen by the jury. The winner and first runner-up for each category will be printed and framed for the MPA 2013 gallery tour, which will kick off on February 22-28 at the Soho Gallery for Digital Art in New York City. Our very own Flo Meissner will be there to discuss the state of the art of photography.

Congrats to all the winners! We think that these photos are a perfect showcase of the almost limitless possibilities you have with mobile devices nowadays: from stunning street photographs to abstract paintings, close up portraits and travel photography, photo journalism and digital art, there are truly no borders set to creativity. Check out the full showcase at the Mobile Photo Awards website.
