About Stand for Land:
An Oxfam investigation has found that too often, sugar suppliers in Brazil and Cambodia have brazenly violated the rights of local farmers, stripping them of the land that is their main source of food and income. They supply many of the big food and beverage companies. By submitting your photo to Stand for Landyou can help Oxfam raise awareness for this important cause and leave your mark in improving the situation for local farmers.
Your photo will be shared with two of the biggest companies to show them you support the campaign & encourage them to adopt policies to prevent land grabs. At the end of the project your photo will be collated with all the other entries from around the world to create an advertising campaign and art installation which will be sent to the food and beverage companies to illustrate the global movement of people standing in solidarity with people losing their land.
All used photographs will be credited at all points with the participant’s username. Please read the Terms & Conditions below to make sure you agree with them.
A special prize: A jury from Oxfam will decide on 5 winners who’ll win 1 copy each of the photo book “We Are Congo” by Rankin. The books will be hand-signed by Rankin himself! Find out more about the book here.
