By the time our latest filter, Clara, came out, Ben was a guestinstructor at the Foundry Photojournalism Workshop in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. We’re extremely glad that he found some time to shoot with Clara and produce these amazing images with it.

3 questions answered by Ben Lowy:

Can you describe Sarajevo in a few words?

Sarajevo is a melting pot of people, of a liberal Islam and a western oriented youth culture, and a modern city still scarred by war.

How do you like the Clara filter?

It’s an interesting filter that can help tone down those pesky digital highlights. Though it does tend to make shadows too magenta.

Any tips for what to shoot especially with it?

I think it’s great outside in bright or flat light. Whites look great with it. Too dark or too much shadow and the images can get muddy.
