Notes From Berlin: An Image Collection

By Brada - 5 min read

Inspired by the book Berlin Tales and curated by EyeEm Picture Editor Brada

“We can distinguish two types of cityscape: those which are formed deliberately, and others which develop unintentionally.”
– S. Kracauer, ‘Seen from the Window’ in Berlin Tales, Lyn Marven (2009)

In Berlin Tales, a collection of seventeen stories on the German capital, authors write about their Berlin. Through the eyes of EyeEm photographers, this is mine: The city to which I moved after high school and that changes so distinctly from season to season – an intense mixture of the future that my youth held and the history entrenched everywhere around the city, in between the cobblestones.
