For our newest mission, we are teaming up with our friends at IMPOSSIBLE to launch Impossible Moments, which focuses on capturing those incredibly rare and beautiful moments.
With photography shifting heavily into the digital environment, it’s great to know that there are still people who care about good ol’ film – the kind you can hold in your hands and gift to your friends. IMPOSSIBLE is on a quest to keep instant photography accessible and relevant. For our newest mission, we are teaming up with our friends at IMPOSSIBLE to launch Impossible Moments.
This mission focuses on capturing those impossibly beautiful moments – locking eyes with a stranger as she bikes past you, the breathtaking view from the top of Mt. Fuji or the thrilling beauty of undiscovered wilderness. Show the seemingly impossible beauty of the world by submitting your photos to Impossible Moments
The top 20 photos will be printed and exhibited at the IMPOSSIBLE exhibition at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival, which is a huge music, film and interactive event hosted every March in Austin, Texas. In addition, the grand prize winner will receive an IMPOSSIBLE Instant Lab to turn all those digital photos into instant Polaroids.
In October 2008 The Impossible Project saved the last Polaroid production plant for integral instant film in Enschede (NL) and started to invent and produce totally new instant film materials for traditional Polaroid cameras. In 2010 Impossible saved analog instant photography from extinction by releasing various, brand new and unique instant films.
Deadline: March 7, 2014
