We’re excited to present you this beautiful series of photos taken by Jérôme Kerneis. Shot at the Gerhard Richter exhibition in Paris in September, we were immediately taken away by the magic atmosphere Jérôme captured.
We’re excited to present you this beautiful series of photos taken by Jérôme Kerneis. Shot at the Gerhard Richter exhibition in Paris this September, we were immediately taken away by the magic atmosphere Jérôme captured.
This is what Jérôme reports from the exhibition:
With my pictures I wanted to show the pleasure I had watching his work. Ialso wanted to imagine the scenes between the paintings and the visitors. The exhibition was parted in 10 rooms with 10 different themes, which gave a great outline of the variety of his whole work. Richter is really inspired by photography, that’s why his paintings deserve to be looked closely.
Due to this great scenography – and to a wonderful view over Paris! – the visitors were absorbed by the paintings! I had the feeling they wanted to dive in the paintings which were inspired by photography. In contrast, for the big paintings, they moved back to have a larger view (and that was possible because there was much space). I loved watching them, almost as much as watching at Richter’s paintings.
The exhibition ran from June 6 to September 26 at the Centre Pompidou, Paris. More info here.
