On Saturday, 20th of October, the EyeEm Sydney Meetup took place. These 12 photographers ventured out on a beautiful sunny day and took pictures at the heart of Sydney CBD.

Here’s a recap from Alexander Kesselaarand Michael Sutton, who organized the meetup:

We all met in Martin Place right in the heart of the Sydney CBD at 4pm, it was still around 26 Degrees by then on an all around stunning day in the City.
From our meeting point we walk up to Macquarie Street and on to the Opera House. Which was a-buzz with tourists and local enjoying the sun. On to Circular Quay and the Rocks, by which time we were all quite thirsty. We decided to head down to one of the local pubs for a cold beer or five and a bite to eat. After the pub it was time to head down to the Harbour Bridge, just in time for the sunset and a quick group photo.
It was great to catch up with some familiar faces, but also to meet some of the EyeEm Shooters in Sydney that we haven’t met in person before. We have an incredibly talented community of EyeEm Photographers here in Sydney and it was great to see everyones different shooting styles and the variety of interesting images that resulted.
We are already planning the next one. So make sure you stay tuned… It may involve fire…
