Huaynapicchu

MACHU PICCHU 3 | Did you know that when the explorer Hiram Bingham III discovered Machu Picchu in 1911, he was actually looking for a different city, known as Vilcabamba. This was the hidden capital to which the Inca had escaped after the Spanish arrived in 1532. In the course of time it became famous as the legendary Lost City of the Inca. I can feel the presence of Indiana Jones here. 😱 Peru MachuPicchu Huaynapicchu Ancient Mountain Mountains Explore Explorer ExploreEverything Instagram Instagood Earth Earthpix Mystery Adventure Inca Outdooradventurephotos Outdoors Outdoor Hike Hiking Travel Beautifuldestinations Destination Travel travelgram vacation peak
MACH PICCHU 2 | Looking at the Huayna Picchu (the 'young peak') from another angle. It rises over Machu Picchu and they call it the lost city of the Incas. It divides the village into sections. The Incas built a trail up the side of the Huayna Picchu and built temples and terraces on its top. The peak of Huayna Picchu is about 2,720 metres above sea level and 360 metres higher than Machu Picchu. If you register in advance you can go to the top. It's a bit scary and you shouldn't suffer from vertigo 😨 Peru MachuPicchu Huaynapicchu Ancient Mountain Mountains Explore Explorer ExploreEverything Instagram Instagood Earth Earthpix Mystery Adventure Inca Outdooradventurephotos Outdoors Outdoor Hike Hiking Travel Beautifuldestinations Destination Travel travelgram vacation peak
