Old Packhorse Bridge

The old packhorse bridge in Carrbridge. The bridge built in 1717, is the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands of Scotland. It was severely damaged in 1892 which left it in the condition seen today. It is now unstable and is recommended only to be viewed from afar. Jumping of the bridge into the River Dulnair below had long been a popular pastime for the younger locals and the more adventurous tourists. Source Wikipedia. Bridge Ruins
