➖➖➖ 🇬🇧 Access to clean water is the most basic necessity for the survival and living standard for any human being, and a condition for development and economical independence for any community. Therefor we believe that clean water should be considered a human right for everybody on the planet. Yet, there are still millions of people kept in despair and poverty by the lack of clean water. 'Walking for Water' is an initiative that I started one year ago with the intention of raising funds for access to quality water in this case Lengasti (Tanzania). On the 18th of may 2015 I freed myself from my job, my apartment and most of my possessions and started walking from my hometown Esbjerg in Denmark to the village Lengasti in Tanzania on the East Coast of Africa. It's now been 343 days days since the start of my journey! I have walked and toured countries such as Denmark, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, across northern Spain, Portugal and now I'm in Malaga. May 18 is my birthday and cross the strait to Morocco to reach the African coast to Lengasti. In Lengasti, thousands of people are forced to walk a long way to the nearest water source. The poorest people who cant prioritize their time on walking for water, risks the life and health of themselves and their children, by drinking contaminated water from nearby mud holes. For about 3 years and more than 18.000 kilometres I will walk through 29 countries on the European and African continent. On my way I will report about life on the road and interview some of the different people from other cultures I meet on my way. When I finished possibly I will return to my country and hope to have enough experience to write a book. If you want to know more about this beautiful project visit the following link: Walking for water. Ever since I found a way to give my passion a purpose I have felt complete. Personal wealth is no longer something I desire, for what is money, but a tool to achieve happiness? Find the sourse of your happiness. Drink directly from it, and you will taste freedom in every sip. My name is Charlie Uldahl Christensen and I was born in Esbjerg (Denmark) 27 years ago. -M: ¿Trabajo? ¿A qué te refieres?. -J: ¿A qué te dedicas?. ______//______ 🇬🇧 -Mimun: ... I see you do not have an umbrella either. Today when I was still at home, I looked at the sky and said, it will not rain, and in the end, here we are both, caught in the entrance of the metro by the rain. I come from Torremolinos and you?... -Javier: If you ask me because we're both here on the subway, that's not exactly true. It is raining and I thought that the subway would be an interesting place to continue with the development of a work that I am doing in Malaga. -M: Work? What do you mean?. -J: Yes, it is a photographic project that I am developing in Malaga. Would you like to participate?. -M: Of course, of course. -J: I just want you to be yourself, to release all your naturalness. -M: I'm freaking out!. I started the day forgetting my umbrella, then I lost the first class today because of the rain .. and finally I became part of a project. The surprises that keep us destiny are incredible. -J: What is your name? where are you from?. -M: My name is Mimun and I was born in Melilla 21 years ago. -J: ¿What do you do?. -M: I am a student of an economics degree at the UMA. -J: Why did you choose to study the degree of economics?. -M: At first I wanted to study psychology, but when I looked at the exits and I could see that they are very scarce, I chose to study economics. -J: What do you think of the current educational system?. -M: It's disappointing. It is a system that teaches you to be competitive with your neighbor, an exact copy of the automated mechanism of today's society. It is an engine that only drives frustration, envy between one and the other and on the contrary never lets you approach happiness. -J: Tell me about your goals and your dreams. -M: My goal is simply to be happy, and you realize that you are when the time around you passes quickly. My dream is that we will all reach the paradise of happiness. -J: Tell me a personal experience that has been meaningful in your life. -M: Before starting to study economics, I started to study Technician of Physical Activities and Sports Animation. At that stage of my life I had an unexpected turn. I was in the first year of my studies, and a regret that I got good grades, I missed work to finish and deliver, I was suspended. I was deeply frustrated, My frustration sparked hatred toward my family. I sought refuge erroneously in the drug, all as a result of the desperate search for happiness. The darkness reigned over me, and by myself I understood that the drug only gave me ephemeral happiness. I realized that the most important thing in my life is family and friends. -J: Tell me a phrase that makes a lot of sense to you. -M: 'To be happy is to want less and to share more'. 🇪🇸 -¡¡Hola!! H: 'No Gods, no Kings, no Masters'. No necesitamos una sumisión para vivir. - - - - 🇬🇧 -Hi!, What´s your name?. H: Hi, my name is Howl. -Howl, tell me ¿Where are you from? ¿How old are you?. H: I´m from Malaga and I´m 19 years old. -¿What do you do?. H: I´m a student of a superior 3D animation module. -You have a very unique aesthetic considering that you live in a very conservative and traditional society such as the Andalusian, without going any further the Malaga society. -Howl, Tell me. Does it belong your aesthetic to some kind of socio-cultural movement? Do you have any special link with music? What motivated that received this aesthetic as part of your own personality ?. H: My aesthetic is called 'Visual Kei'. It is characterized by its use of varying levels of makeup, elaborate hairstyles and clothes very particular. It means visual style, and was born in a social environment where the customs and traditional structure was very strong and rooted, I mean Japanese society. It´s a mix between musical styles such as 'Punk' and 'Metal'. It born in Japan in a young adolescent environment, with the aim of breaking the social structure so tight. One day, watching some videos on YouTube, I found this trend and quickly attracted me, I was deeply influenced and wondered, Why no in Malaga anything like that ?. -Howl, then, Do I understand that you are a pioneer on this trend here in Malaga?. H: Particularly, I do not mind stretching, but I would like to do it in a moderate way. -Do you have phrases, words or some personal reflection that you want to share?. H: 'No Gods, no kings, no Masters'. We do not need to live a submission.
