Recognized as one of the oldest streets in Cairo, Moez Street is considered to comprise the most prevalent concentration of ancient architectural wonders in the Islamic world. The reason for its nomenclature lies behind Al Moez Li Deen Illah, from the Fatimid dynasty . Stretching at one kilometer long, the street is riddled with historical buildings, mosques, houses, and other Islamic paraphernalia. Several government renovations have managed to improve and transform the street into an 'open-air' museum of sorts, permitting an ease of wandering the different alleyways. One of the most popular hotspots in Moez Street is the 1000 year-old El Hakem Mosque Almoez Street Ancient Egypt Architecture Built Structure Architecture Cairo Egypt Illuminated Night Sky Egypt Cairo Illuminated Sky Moon Night
