Bostami Turtle

Black Soft Shell Turtles known as Bostami Turtle, locally called Mazari. Its scientific name is Aspideretes Nigricans which are a very rare and critically endangered species. In 2002, the IUCN classified the species as Extinct in the Wild, which are found only in Bayazid Bastami Shrine pond in the world. In May, 2004 some evildoer wanted to kill this species by poisoning the ponds water. But with the help of Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation Division they were saved. People believe that they were saved with love of the devotees of the Shrine.
