Sheridan Lake Many years I drove through Sheridan Lake on my way To the mountains. A flat splat of water With some indistinct shores That made me think - More mud than water. Now it's been dry For a couple of years And I don't travel as much Anymore. Your face Doesn't lead me Toward sunset I'd just feel foolish Standing at your door.
