Tempest Storm Invation Sea
In the struggle for the ceiling itself.   Invasion of the Oi building.   At dawn on Monday, March 31, a group of 300 people, residents of different communities (Complexo do Alemão, Manguinhos, Mandela, Rato Molhado and Arará) invaded the building of the former TELEMAR, which is now Oi, in Engenho Novo, a neighborhood in the Northern Zone of Rio de Janeiro, which has been closed since 1998. The land of 50mil m2 has four buildings, a shed and a parking area that have been demarcated for each family. Each lot had the size of 4x4 meters. In the early days, there were two thousand families, the following week it is estimated that five thousand families. Each family had an investment of about 500 reais to build their shack. Most people participated in the raid because they could not support a large family and pay the rent at the same time.   The occupation lasted 12 days. At dawn on Friday, April 11, the military police made a siege and, without negotiating with the city hall, violently evicted the entire group.
